What is this file

Mac and iPhone users send these files when they forget to export to Word or PDF. Inside is an archive of compressed Apple data that other apps cannot read.

How to open it

  1. Install XanderFiles from Google Play. It is free, with no ads and no sign-up.
  2. Tap the .pages file wherever you have it: in an email attachment, in Telegram, WhatsApp or in Downloads.
  3. When Android asks which app to use, choose XanderFiles. Or the other way round: open XanderFiles, tap “Open file” and pick the file in Downloads or Google Drive.
  4. Pages: the document text with headers, footnotes and images; Numbers: tables sheet by sheet; Keynote: every slide in order, with text and presenter notes.
